Corporate Accountant
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid / Onsite)

Position Summary
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the company's core accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. This role works closely with the Controller and Finance team to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with GAAP, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in a corporate accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reclassifications
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, ensuring proper coding and accuracy
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for management review
- Assist with annual audits, internal audits, and regulatory examinations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, payroll, FP&A, and external partners
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
- Maintain organized documentation and accounting records in accordance with retention policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in corporate or general accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with ERP or general ledger accounting systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reconciliations, data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting month-end close in a multi-entity or corporate environment
- Prior audit support experience (public or private)
- Familiarity with payroll accounting, fixed assets, or revenue recognition
